Veterinarian, DVM
Our practice is excited to announce the addition of Dr Nicholas Seibert to our growing team of amazing, veterinary professionals here at The Animal Clinic!
Dr Seibert is a Florida native. He has lived in Miami and Daytona Beach. He received his undergrad from the University of Central Florida and then went on to graduate from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) with his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. He has a special interest in exotics, specifically reptiles, diagnostic imaging, and surgery. He plans to not only become proficient in caring for and treating patients quickly, but also to mentor those wanting to pursue a veterinary career as well. In his free time you can catch him outdoors. He enjoys kayaking, going to the beach, or playing sport.
He loves spending time with his wife Suzannah and his two adorable sons. He has two lovable dogs Auggie and Hundley.
Dr. Paul Belliveau joined The Animal Clinic in Port Charlotte in 2019. A native of New Hampshire, he graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. After working as a veterinarian in Florida for many years, Dr. Belliveau wanted to pursue pet acupuncture and studied at the CHI Institute of Chinese Veterinary Medicine to become a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA). He lives in Punta Gorda.
I have been employed by The Animal Clinic since 1990 and have seen a lot of changes within our profession. The most important reason for my love of veterinary medicine is the changes I have seen in the quality of care that we provide for our pets. My duties consist of caring for surgical patients, radiology, ultra sound, dentistry, assisting doctors and nursing care. This job involves a lot of continuing education, training, communication and compassion. I am originally from Ohio and moved to Florida when I was 2 years old. Given a choice to work anywhere else "The Animal Clinic" would win hands down every time. The staff and the clients are wonderful.
My love for animals began as a child with having a variety of pets at home. I started my career of working with them in 1998. As my career progressed there were several opportunities to further my education by participating in online courses, attending continuing education classes as well as local conferences. I have met many great pets and their owners during this time. I enjoy working with people and their animals and continue to care for several different species at home. The Animal Clinic is a wonderful clinic full of caring and knowledgeable staff. I look forward to meeting you and your pet soon.
I started working for The Animal Clinic in March of 2014. At the age of 8 I moved from Brazil to Florida and have spent the majority of my years here. I have worked in both emergency and day practice for many years. Education has always been very important to me, thus I attended Edison College as well as Southwest Florida College. Each day on the job I learn more and am blessed to be surrounded by such knowledgeable coworkers. Animals are my passion and while I haven't always worked with them, I have always felt like something was missing. I look forward to continuing my education and experience with The Animal Clinic.
I have been a native to Florida my entire life. Growing up in Bradenton and now living in Punta Gorda. I attended Galen College of Nursing and continued my education in the veterinary field since 2012. I split my time between The Animal Clinic and the Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Port Charlotte.
Since before I could walk, I had a passion for animals. I began in the field shortly after high school in 2002. It did not take me long to realize this was the career choice for me. I pursued an advanced degree from St. Petersburg Collage and in 2012 I was officially destowed my Certified Veterinary Technician status.
My special interests are in dentistry and nutrition but I have a love for all areas of veterinary medicine.
My pets: I currently have two mixed breed dogs. Shadow Marie and Gomer Pile, and a domestic short haired cat, May May. I also have three two legged children, and I spend all of my free time with my husband family and friends.
I love being in the veterinary medicine field, and I feel if you love the work you do then it is not work at all. I love coming to work every day and helping people and their pets.
I am originally from England and moved to America with my husband and son in 2003. In the UK I served as a Police Officer for 10 years, then upon moving here owned and ran a lawn care company with my husband. Following this I worked at Universal Studios in The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter at The Three Broomsticks for 2 years before joining The Animal Clinic team in February of 2015. I have a great love for animals and we have always had a dog and horses in our family, I used to compete in 3 day eventing back in England, which involved Dressage, Cross Country and Show jumping.
I really enjoy the Florida Outdoor life, going to the beach and walking our super dog Max.
I have worked for The Animal Clinic and the Veterinary Emergency Clinic since 2003. Originally from Philadelphia I moved to Florida when I was 15. Animals are a passion of mine and have inspired me to continue my education by attending Florida Southwestern State College and learning through the practice.
I moved to Florida from Arizona in 2001, but feel I am practically a Floridian at this point. I have been working with animals for the last 8 years and love every moment of it, I take pleasure in making each day a positive and full filling experience. I joined The Animal Clinic team in the fall of 2017.
As a young child I grew up looking after both large and small animals in a farm town in Indiana. After moving to Florida in 2003 I continued my passion for animals and volunteered at local ranches as well as shelters. I have now advanced my career path towards helping animals by talking classes at St. Petersburg college. I hope to progress my knowledge of veterinary medicine and received a lot of great experiences at The Animal Clinic.
I have lived in Sarasota County my whole life, and have always loved animals and the medical field.
Growing up I had all kinds of animal pets and also a horse.
I worked in a previous veterinary office for 10 before coming to The Animal Clinic in January of 2018.
My husband Kevin and I love the outdoors and car racing, we have 3 rescues, 2 mixed breed dogs Eddie and Dozer and a finch called Mr. Peeps.
One of our core values is to make sure that all of our patients receive the highest quality level of care and that we minimize anxiety and eliminate pain. One of the most important tools that we have available is to painlessly treat pets in the advent of modern day anesthetics. These anesthetic agents allow us to sedate and anesthetize animals with negligible chance of serious side effects. The lack of significant complications from anesthesia is due to a combination of expertise, thorough pre-anesthetic testing, and state of the art anesthetic and monitoring equipment. We understand that it is a real concern to most pet owners, and they may be hesitant about the anesthesia, but just like human medicine, every precaution is taken before the pet is anesthetized.
We at The Animal Clinic are dedicated to providing total patient care. Each pet has the right to be evaluated and to suggest solutions to rectify the problem. We have exams designed for behavioral evaluations in which we observe your pet's behavior in relation to his/her daily life, his/her environment, and the animals and people with whom he/she interacts. Our approach is to provide our clients with the techniques and tools that they can facilitate the desired changes in their pet's behavior. The goal of the consult is to review the history and make the recommendations that will subsequently benefit all members of the household.
Dr. Rand, Dr. Marks, and Dr. Seibert all have a special interest in exotic/avian care. Since these pets have different health problems than our furry four legged friends they need to be given the same quality healthcare tailored to their special needs.
